Unusual Edwardian Silver & Ruby Glass Inkwell

A most unusual Edwardian silver and glass inkwell. This interesting piece has a silver collar and hinged lid. There are twin apertures for quill or pen. The ruby glass body is gently tapering and it stands on a raised silver plinth base. This superior example is a handsome collector's piece, both practical and decorative. Hallmarks :- Clear and readable. Maker :- Cohen & Charles. Date :- London 1905.
