Item Details
A lovely novelty example of Palais Royal, dating to the latter part of the 19th Century. This particular piece is an Étui, formed in the shape of an egg, standing on an alabaster base. The body of the egg is formed of beautiful carved mother-of-pearl, with a bead decorated ormolu frame. There is a push button clasp to the top, which when pressed allows the two halves of the body to hinge down revealing the interior. An unusual and collectible piece.
