Item Details
A stunning late Victorian silver and cut glass claret jug. The hallmarked mount is elegant and understated. The silver extends from the domed and hinged lid, to the collar and pouring lip. The handle sweeps downwards towards the base in the modernist taste. The baluster shaped glass body is finished with all over ribbing giving a tactile feel. The ribbing is cut through with beautifully cut Aster flowers, leaves and stems and has a multi point star cut to the base.
A most attractive, practical example and a great gift idea.
