Gorgeous Edwardian Novelty Silver Card Case

Ref: ACA2158
Sold
A gorgeous novelty silver card case of larger proportions. This attractive example is rectangular in shape with a hinged lid and is formed to look like an envelope. The body is extensively engraved with stylised acanthus leaves and Celtic knot border to both sides. To the front is a vacant shield shape cartouche and the interior is fully gilded. Due to the larger proportions of the piece, this example of card case will easily accommodate a modern day credit or debit card along with business cards. A charming and collectable example.
