A stylish silver butter dish from early in the reign of George V. This appealing example sits in a silver frame and has a frosted glass liner, with star cut base. The body of the dish has a gallery of attractively pierced fretwork to the sides, in Greek Kay design. There are twin pierced and shaped handles and four fleur de lys feet. There is a hallmarked silver butter knife included, making this a lovely 'ready to use' item for the table. Hallmarks :- Clear and readable. Maker :- E.S Barnsley & Co. Date :- Birmingham 1913.
