This is a fabulous example of quality Edwardian silver craftsmanship from the Chester assay office. This stunning card case is an example of the sought after naturalistic movement featuring a butterfly landing on a fruiting cherry tree with stipple background decoration. The hinged lid opens to reveal a fully gilded interior and the body is pleasingly curved to fit snugly in the pocket. An excellent example and highly collectable piece.
