A fantastic set of six Scottish provincial silver teaspoons dating to the end of the 18th Century. This superb examples originate from Greenock and feature just the makers mark, which has been attributed to John Heron, who's mark was entered between 1790 - 1840. The handles are in the Scottish style, with unusual barley twist stems. To the front of each is wonderful stylized engraving in the form of shells and leaves and to the reverse are the original hand pricked initials of M S in capitals. An usual and rare set of spoons, making for a great addition to any collection.
