Desirable Austro-Hungarian Silver Gilt Cross Pendant

This is a desirable example of a mid 19th Century Austro-Hungarian Cross pendant. The Cross is of silver and set with gorgeous brilliant cut Garnet stones and a single seed Pearl in a floral mount. The front retains a light wash of gilding and small areas of white enamel decoration. To the reverse of the pendant is beautiful stipple engraving, featuring heart shaped motifs. The bail is formed in the shape of a ring and also set with seed pearls and a garnet. A fabulous example, ready to be worn and enjoyed. Hallmarks:- Hallmarked with Austro-Hungarian marks to the cross.
