Collectable Pair of Victorian Silver Chatelaine Scissors & Case

A collectable pair of scissors in a hallmarked silver Chatelaine case. The Scissors are most likely French in origin and are fitted with delightful decorated silver handles, with the blades being of polished steel. The Chatelaine case is English and made in the rococo style. The tapering body has a vacant cartouche to both sides and is finished with loops to the shoulders for the attaching chain. A wonderful collector's item for the sewing enthusiast, with a practical use. Hallmarks:- Scissors are unmarked but test as silver and the sheath has clear and readable hallmarks.
