Attractive Silver Mounted Cologne / Perfume Bottle in Original Box

This is an attractive silver mounted, cut glass cologne or perfume bottle in the original box. This wonderful example dates to the stylish Art Deco period. The body is of clear glass, with cut panels overlaid with contrasting Amber flashing. The edges of the panels are heightened with gilding and the bottle retains the original globe glass stopper. The neck collar is of hallmarked silver and domed to the top. Presented in the original fitted box, this excellent piece would make a lovely gift, being both usable and decorative. Hallmarks:- Clear and readable. Full hallmarks to the inside of the silver neck, stamped Sterling Silver to the outside with makers mark. Date:- Birmingham 1928 Maker:- Charles S Green & Co Ltd

Excellent, with no splits or holes to the silver and no cracks or chips to the glass. There is tiny dimple to the collar and two small bubbles to the base of the glass, commensurate with age and use and from manufacture. Both photographed.
