An attractive hallmarked silver cocktail purse from early in the reign of George V. This gorgeous piece has a shaped and engraved exterior, featuring floral and foliate swags, tied bows and shells. This pattern is repeated fully on the back. The purse is finished with a script initial 'B' to the central oval cartouche and the year '1917' engraved to the lower r/h side. The body is hinged, fitted with a push down clasp and belcher chain with finger ring. The interior is the original tan kid leather and is divided into three compartments. This elegant piece would have been probably used for evenings and cocktail parties and would make a lovely gift idea.
Hallmarks :- Clear and readable. The finger ring is part marked.

Very good, with no splits or dents. There is a small area of flattening to one bottom corner, commensurate with age and use. This is photographed for clarity. The lining is without damage.
