A wonderful 19th Century example of collectable and decorative Palais Royal sewing ware. This particular piece is of a horse drawn cart in gilt ormolu, with the horses being of a silvered bronze colour. The companion stands on a alabaster base and is fitted with two removable buckets, one with pin cushion and the other with thimble. The cart holds an open ended barrel and to the inside is a wooden cotton reel. A delightful piece, making for a usable and interesting addition to any sewing collection.

Very good, minor age related wear to the ormolu. The cotton reel is a 'home-made' replacement.
