Item Details
A quality, good sized satin glass vase from the end of the Victorian era. The shaped body sits on a raised base with a long slender neck and large, flared and crimped rim. The vase is decorated with a geometric fretwork design in frosted pale blue over white glass and is probably the work of the great Webb's Company. To the base is a broken pontil mark and the glass has a wonderful shimmer in the light. A pleasing and tactile example with a practical use, alongside being decorative in its own right.
