A superb pair of silver tongs from the elegant Edwardian period. These excellent, large examples are likely designed for the bar tender. They are fully hallmarked and feature the Registered design stamp along with the patent number stamp to the inside. The tongs are activated by squeezing the two top tabs between the thumb and index finger, thus opening the claws and allowing the user to pick up ice and sugar cubes, along with slices or lemon or lime with ease.
