A rather rare pair of Georgian Regency period cut glass table salts. These excellent examples are found complete with their original saucers. The rounded bodies of the salts have a central panel of hobnail cutting, bordered with bands slice cutting. The deep, flared rims are notch cut and to the bases are polished pontils. The saucers repeat the band of notch cutting to the rims, along with the panel of hobnail cutting and are delightfully finished with a star cut bases. Unusual to find in pairs and rarer still with the original saucers, these wonderful examples would grace any table and make a excellent addition to any collection. Origin :- Anglo/Irish.
