Item Details
A fabulous set of three silver salts, with original spoons dating to the late Victorian period. These charming novelty examples are in the naturalistic style, with each salt formed as a lily pad and lightly gilded to the interior. The lily pads are delightfully supported by three cast frogs, raised on their hind legs. The spoons have 'whip' tale handles and also have lightly gilded bowls. The bowls are engraved and shaped with foliate motifs and fully hallmarked to the reverse. A very charming and collectable set, being both usable and decorative.
